So Disney just announced that they are coming out with an Indiana Jones 5! Harris Ford is coming back as is Steven Spielberg! The old gang is back together again and fans around the world couldn't be more excited. A lot of people wondered when this would happen after Disney bought Lucasfilm a few years back.
Crystal Skull was not well received in the box office or with fans so there was a fear that it would keep the series from returning but it seems those fears were in vain. Disney would never let money escape their grasp. Hopefully this movie will get us back to the feelings of old that the first three movies had. The thrilling adventure and excitement that only Indie can bring us. The only downside to this story is that the movie isn't due out till 2019, three whole years from now. But we will be counting down the days!

Everyone always fights over who is the best Batman; Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale or Ben Affleck? The other question everyone asks is Who is the best joker; Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger or Jared Leto? The answer to both of these questions are none of the above. The best Batman is the one and only Kevin Conroy! While the best Joker is Luke Skywalker himelf, Mark Hamill. The animated series is the greatest version of Batman that we have ever had. Bar none! And now both men are returning for one of the most anticipated adaptations ever! The Killing Joke! Mark Hamill told the world by tweeting the above picture three times, each time with one word of the title and a quote from the graphic novel. What a cool way to let the world know about such a cool development! I can't wait for this movie. It is going to be epic!
The comic book, cartoon and live action series that Ben Edlund brought to us is coming back! This time for amazon, once more at the hands of Edlund. This is exciting news for the fans of the old series. Not much is known about the new show yet, other than that Edlund is returning and the Amazon has ordered a pilot for the new show. Hopefully it gets picked up and we get to see more of the goofy action that we have come to love.
Now is a great time to be a fan of Marvel comics. They have 12 live action shows that are either on the air or about to be. One of them is a mystery show. What could it be? What would we want it to be?
Now if it is on Netflix, Blade, Moon Knight or Ghost Rider would be my top picks. I mean finally a Ghost Rider done right would be amazing. It is something that needs to happen. Those movies did not live up to the promise they had. Ghost Rider is a great character who could add a whole new wing to the MCU, one that Iron Fist and Dr. Strange are slowly introducing us too. Now if it is Moon Knight that could be awesome too, it would also be a great addition to the supernatural world but also fit in nicely with the dark gritty street fighting world that the other Netflix shows fit into. He could play both sides of the street and not many fans know anything about him so Marvel could have a great deal of fun with it. Now Blade, wow all three of these fit the Supernatural side of things, which is the part that Marvel is starting to build. Now there was already a Blade TV show and it was a really good show that was robbed of a second season. So this new Blade show would have a lot to live up to. Now there is talk about it following his newly created daughter, which would be a cool twist. Something new, that hasn't been explored in the show or old movies. It would be a fresh take and that is exciting.
I mean he is on of the coolest underrated characters in the Marvel universe, but what makes him even cooler? Well he means we are half way to the show I'd kill to see! The other half has just been cast. Iron Fist. Now I know that after Iron Fist comes out we have the Defenders mini series and that's great. I'm looking forward to that one. I am. But after it is over how about instead of seasons two of Iron Fist and Luke Cage Marvel goes a different direction?
What direction is that? Heroes For Hire! Let Luke Cage and Iron Fist open up shop and save the day, well for a price. Now that is the Marvel show I'm dying to see. So we finally have our first look at the new Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Spider-Man. I mean all he does is flip and say one line but it is still a big moment. This movie keeps getting more and more exciting. I mean I don't know how many of you read the civil war comics when they came out but it was one of the most exciting times to be a comic book fan.
Now like in the comics, it looks like Spider-Man is on Tony's side, but why would he sign up with the government? We are just getting to meet him and he is already telling the world who he is? Shouldn't it stay a secret a bit longer? Just a thought, but I don't know what happens in the movie and Marvel hasn't had a misstep yet. Not a one. They have been killing it every movie, more and more. Just two more months till we get to see the third Captain America movie in theaters and I can not wait. So it turns out that J. Jonah Jameson will not be played by Ice Cube. How sad is that? It would have been amazing to see him in the role. He would have killed it. I mean he has played the role of asshole boss before in movies like 21 Jump Street.
Now there are a few people who are perfect for some roles, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackson as Wolverine and J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson. Now if we could get him back for the role than do that! He was made for that role. He looks and sounds the part better than anyone else ever could but if you can't. If Marvel and Sony want to stay away from the past when moving forward than they could really do worse than Ice Cube. He would own the part quick fast and in a hurry. Who do you guys think should play the part? Pottermore is the gift that keeps on giving. Now JK Rowling has dived into the magical world of North America. In what she tells us will be a four part series detailing the history of how magic evolved differently over here in the states. All of this is to help set the stage for the new trilogy of movies that follow the writer of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them. A prequel series to the Harry Potter films. Now as happy as I am to get these, and I am. I love Harry Potter and am always excited for more, the prequel series I'd much rather have is about the Marauders. The short film Severus Snape and the Marauders gave us a small taste of what it could be. I'm also really excited about the new book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I know it is just the scripts but hey its a start. The only down side to it is that it will most likely contradict the James Potter series of books.
http://www.jamespotterseries.com/indexOriginal.html It is such a great series. I know, I know, fan books aren't as good as the real thing but than again take a look at the fan film above and tell me that fans can't do things just as well the professionals. Another Predator movie? How should we feel about this? I mean the first one is one of the greatest action sci-fi movie I've ever seen. Arnold Schwarzenegger going toe to toe with an invisible alien that hunts people for sport. There aren't a great deal of movies out there that can top it.
So why wouldn't another one be amazing? Well the 2nd one was horrible. And that is coming from me, I try to like everything at least a little. And I mean it's not the worst movie, it's no The Farce Awakens. Then there are the crossover movies with the Aliens series. They weren't as bad as Predator 2 but no where near on the level with the first one. Robert Rodriguez's third one simply titled Predators was an amazing movie so what have we gathered? The Predator series is very hit or miss. Hopefully this 4th one keeps with the feeling of the first one or the 4th but avoids the pit falls of the middle ones. So what do we know about the film so far? Well we know that it is due out March 2, 2018, that Shane Black is directing it and that he has been meeting up with one Arnold Schwarzenegger. Maybe it's nothing or maybe he is coming back for the newest movie. How amazing would it be to have him back in the uh fighting seat? Yeah we will go with that. Fighting seat. That would make it such an amazing movie. I mean the last Terminator movie, while not loved by a lot of people was in fact a great movie. Schwarzenegger is a great action star. Everyone knows it, so lets put him back into movies and make them great again!
Look I use to love Power Rangers when I was a kid. I would run home to watch it, unless Dragon Ball Z was on. I even stuck with it past when I should have stopped, and I understand that when you are creating something you don't want someone else to show up and do it better but I'm also not big on censorship. I say let the world see both and decide which one they like more. That's just me. Look I'm not trying to bad mouth this movie, after all Elizabeth Banks is in it and that is more than enough reason for me to want to watch it. Part of it might also be my normal hate of remakes and the fact that the other one that was forced out was a sequel, playing off of what came before instead of erasing it. But let's see how it turns out before we decide.
