It seems that Charlie Cox is not just an amazing actor but also an avid comic book fan. He knows how the character fits into the comic book universe and even was slick enough to drop a few Daredevil/Black Widow jokes. Something that any fan, any real fan of DD would get. After all the two have a very on again off again relationship. To the point where they even shared the title of a book for a while. Now Daredevil were to show up in the movies would he fit in? After all the show is very dark and gritty while the movies are very light and fun. Yes they would fit! Arrow is a dark show while the Flash is light and fun but those crossovers rock!
Mat has always been the guy who is so into his own thing that he never cares about the big events or what the "big guns" are doing. He cares about his city and making sure that it is cleaned up and made safer for the people who live there. Charlie Cox even commented on DD fitting in with the movies "Some people have said that they wonder about, based on the tone the show, how Matt would fit in with the Avengers," Cox said. "I was reading Civil War the other day, and Matt Murdock... is kind of an ass. He's in the back, standing around grumpy a lot of the time, and every now and again, he just says ‘Well, we're not doing that' or something to that effect, and I'm like, ‘That's the character, we're fine.' So tonally, with Matt I think we’re right on point and he’d be a perfect fit in the larger MCU." Cox isn't the only TV actor to talk about taking part in the larger movie universe, Krysten Ritter also spoke on the subject. "That's an interesting question because I love Jessica and I love any opportunity to play her. Obviously, it'd be really exciting to be a part of those giant, huge movies with those great characters who are already established, so it'd be awesome. … It'd be awesome if I got to pop up somewhere else. There's always the chance that could happen. I don't really know, they don't tell me anything, so I'm totally stoked about the playground on Netflix." I think that would be an amazing opportunity for Marvel. So far the universe has been very one sided, with the movies changing the landscape for the shows but the shows having no effect on the big movies. It would be nice to have it go both ways. I'm really hoping for some reference to the Inhumans on Captain America Civil War, it would only make sense. Marvel could change the face of entertainment for good if they connect their movies and shows just a bit more. Come on Marvel, give us one solid universe! Both of those quotes were given to Comicbook.com an amazing website that gives you the latest news on everything to do with, well comic books!
