The dentist tries to hit on Dottie but she snaps his wrist like he is made out of paper while Carter forces Jarvis to go with her while she checks out all of Howards exes. The same women that Howard made Jarvis break up with for him. Needless to say it did not go well for Jarvis. A very funny scene in a otherwise serious episode.
Meanwhile Ivchenko, or Dr. Faustus as comic fans might know him, is being questioned some more by the chief. The chief starts to get comfortable with the guy who starts to psychoanalyze him. Turning the conversation to his troubled marriage. He gets the chief to tell him what building he is in, while Dottie, in the office of the dentist she killed, locks him. She sends him a code using light from the gun. He gives her a message back, telling her that he needs more time and for her to kill Carter. Carter and Jarvis arrive at a house of a woman who doesn't seem to be home. Carter goes inside to look around while Jarvis stands outside to keep watch. A kid shows up and Jarvis pays him to leave as the kid scared him. Carter figures out that this girl is the one they are looking for. Now they just need to know what she looks like. An agent points out to Thompson that the chief has been talking to the Russian for a long time but he blows him off. Ivchenko starts to hypnotize the chief but Sousa blows into the room ruining the moment to tell the chief about a lead. Carter and Jarvis have no luck finding out anything about the mystery woman. Agents try to arrest Carter and Jarvis but Carter takes them all out with a bit of help from Jarvis, but really it was just her. She is Cap's number one girl for a reason. They make it out the back only to be caught by Thompson. He tells her that she is wanted for being seen at the scene of a few murders. She tells him that she can't go in right now and he tells her she doesn't have a choice, she shows him. Knocking his ass out. She tell Jarvis to meet her later while she goes to get Captain America's blood from her house. Sousa blocks her path and arrests her but she tells him no. He lets her go. The chief is not happy that one woman took out all of his highly trained agents. The chief locks Ivchenko in a room for his own safety with an agent to watch over him. He starts to go to work on the agent. Thompson and Sousa head to Carter's home to try and cut her off, she beats them there but not by long. She doesn't have much time to get the blood and escape. The landlady and her no men allowed attitude tries to keep them out but it is no use. They get into her room but she had already escaped out of the window. Not much of an escape with nowhere to go, just standing on an edge. She tries to make it to the next room but she almost falls. her friend spots her on the ledge just as the feds knock on her door. Carter tells her that they are looking for her and her friend nods and opens the door. She lies to them to protect Carter. She starts crying and distracting them, showing what a good actress she really is. They lock the landlady up as they continue to look around for Carter. Her friend lets her in. The agent guarding Ivchenko is brainwashed to take him to the lab to find Starks weapons. He tells him he can't take him to the weapons but he shows him how to escape. Ivchenko orders him to leave, go buy a drink and enjoy it and then kill himself. And the Agent does it. Poor guy. Dottie stops Carter as she is on her way out and gives her a kiss, thus drugging her. What is this Firefly? She pulls out a knife to kill Carter but Thompson and Sousa find her and tell her to back away. She hides the knife and plays dumb. They take Carter into custody. Dottie is not happy. Carter finally figured out who she is after but it doesn't do her any good since she has been arrested. She tells them that she can explain everything. Sousa lays out all the evidence he has against her. What an ending!!!! This is how you make tv people! How the hell is this show not coming back for a season 3?

Welcome to the episode written by the co-host of Children of Tendu, http://childrenoftendu.libsyn.com/ , Jose Molina. If you want to work in TV you should check that podcast out. It is really good and they give you tons of information about the art of written for the small screen.
The start of the episode kicks off in Russia where we learn the origins of the Black Widow program. Dottie Underwood is one of these girls. Jarvis tries to talk Carter into going back to help Howard who she wants no part of. He points out how none of her co-workers like her or respect her. She says she will make them. She gets back to the office and everyone is trying to figure out how to decode a message written in code. The professional decoder couldn't figure it out and Carter walks in and does it in no time flat. Proving her worth, but Thompson doesn't want to give her any props. She puts herself on the mission. Thompson tries to get Carter kicked off the team but she proves that she knows more about war than he does. She has been through world war 2, none of them have. She tells them she can 107th Regiment to lead the team. Now the 107th for those of you at home is what the MCU calls Howling Commandos. She gets them to agree to let her on the time. Thompson sends Sousa to get something out of his locker, in a mean trick to get him to see Carter undressed. It works but has an added side-effect. He sees a mark on her back, the same one that the blonde has in the picture. He now suspects her. On the plane before the jump Carter tries to clam Thompson down but he doesn't want to take her help. She is a lot cooler under pressure than he is. They run into Dum Dum and the rest of the Howling Commandos who right away they put Thompson in his place and elevate Carter above the rest of them. The team that Thompson and co respect above all others respect Carter above all others. That doesn't sit well with them, as well it shouldn't. It should show them her worth. While everyone is chilling around the fire they ask Thompson about the Navy cross. He tells them he fell asleep on duty and wakes up to the Japanese sneaked into camp and he woke up just in time to kill them all before they could kill his CO. Back in the States, Sousa looks into Carter and the blonde lady while the chief is looking into more information on the battle and Stark. The reporter he talks to tells him that it is a railroad against Stark but the chief doesn't want to believe it. Thompson gives orders but the Howling Commandos ask Carter what she wants to do and she changes the orders. Thompson agrees but you can tell he isn't happy about it. Carter and her team get in and we see that they are in the school from the beginning. The one that trains Black Widows. A little girl crying draws them into another room where a lone girl sits crying. She stabs Dum Dum before taking off and hiding in a hole in the wall. He is fine, lucky his vest saved him. One of the team did die in her escape. Sad day for the Howling Commandos. Carter takes charge. The chief comes to talk to Jarvis. The chief tells him that Howard has a lot of people after him, including an Army General. The chief says that he doesn't want to be part of a witch hunt. He wants to hear the truth and he gives Jarvis a phone number to call to get a hold of him. Carter and co find people in a cell and free them. Meanwhile back in the states, this eras Black widow breaks into Carter's room and starts going through her stuff. She finds some pictures of Stark's weapons, one of which she takes. The team start asking questions of the men in the cells, turns out one of them is an engineer. They are trying to make the man build Stark's weapon. It turns out that Howard is not here, just plans for his weapons. They misunderstood. They get the prisoners out of the cage and run as the Russians move in on them. The engineer tries to sell out the Americans and his co-prisoner tries to talk him out of it before Carter just shoots him. Thompson freezes up and Carter has to keep them all alive while they wait for Dum Dum to show up and give them an exit. Carter has to all but drag Thompson out who had a breakdown on the battlefield. The man who told Carter she couldn't handle war proved he was the one who couldn't handle it. The team escapes, Carter is the last one on board because she wanted to make sure everyone else made it safe. She is a hero. The Howling Commandos invite Carter to join them, they would call her Lady Union Jack. Now Union Jack is a Marvel hero named Joseph Chapman. She tells them that she has to go back home and prove to everyone that Stark is innocent. It seems she is back on the case. Thompson tells Carter the truth, the Japanese didn't try to kill his CO, they came to surrender but he didn't listen and buried the white flag to hide the truth. Carter comforts him. Dottie still sleeps handcuffed to a bed. Showing us that she is one of the little girls from the start of the episode. Thompson gives Carter her props and she gives Thompson some props that he didn't deserve. The man they brought back to the states has agreed to help them with whatever they need. For the first time ever Carter is invited out with the guys. Sousa stays behind, he has too much on his mind. He doesn't want to believe Carter is the blonde. Such a great show!!!! Brant Englestein writes the fourth episode of Agent CTharter. This episode kicks off with Jarvis pretending to sell to some criminals while Carter sneaks around the back to take them out. They then go meet with Stark who takes out the last bad guy standing. They sneak Stark back to his house but things get tricky when agents are standing outside his house. Carter takes Stark back to her place and sneaks him up. Remember the land lady is crazy strict about men being upstairs.
She puts Stark into the dumb waiter but the Land Lady catches her. She leads Carter back to her room, forcing her to leave the dumb waiter behind. She tells Carter that she isn't old enough to take care of herself or keep herself from messing around with boys. The land lady makes Carter open the dump waiter upstairs in front of her. Lucky Stark is gone and her bag is left there. She waits till the land lady is gone and then goes looking for him. It isn't long before she finds him in a nearby room messing around with her neighbor. Carter forces him to leave. She can't let people find out that she is hiding Stark in her room. Thomson takes charge of the SSR for the time being and he tells everyone that no one is leaving or resting until they get some headway against Stark. He orders Carter to go get their lunch. They really look down on her since she is a woman. It isn't right. Sousa breaks ranks and goes to look for information on his own. Doing what he calls real police work. Carter comes home to find Stark in yet another girls room. This man just can't keep it in his pants. Sousa brings in a man who he thinks has some information on who called him in the tip the other day, the tip we know was called in by Jarvis, Thompson gives Sousa a hard time for it. He is so full of himself. He makes Sousa to let the bum go because he isn't giving out information right off the bat. Sousa fights him on it. Stark tells Carter that the weapon the SSR recovered in the last episode could wipe out the cities power and that he needs her to switch it out with a fake one so that the government can't use it. She agrees and gets in the car with Jarvis. Meanwhile Sousa is getting nowhere with the bum when Thomson comes in and offers him food. He starts talking and tells them about a girl, not the blonde in the picture and a guy who went onto the boat. It is all he saw before the cops came. What we know is that it is the same girl. That it is Carter. Sousa is hunting Carter and doesn't know it. The Chief is visiting a Nazi prisoner to find out information on the Battle of Finow in exchange he will give him a pill so he can kill himself and make it painless. He tells the chief that no one died by German hands in the battle and chief gives him the pill. We find out that the pill is really just a breath mint. He played him. Carter doesn't trust Jarvis or Stark and instead of bringing the device back to them she opens it and finds a vial of blood. She pockets it and leave. She ends up in a room with Thompson who asks her why she works here? As a woman she will never equal with a man and she should accept that. He is clearly a little too deep into that bottle that he is drinking. Carter confronts Stark about the blood and he admits that it is Captain America's. He says that he lies to protect himself. One viral went to the government and one went to Howard. The Government is almost finished with theirs and they will keep Starks. She thinks he just wants it for the money. She tears him down. She tells him to get lost and she is done working to help clear his name. Meanwhile the white hair man who has been following her all episode shows up outside and tries to sneak into Carter's room when the next door neighbor tells him she wants his gun. She shows off some cool ass moves as she snaps his neck. Jarvis comes up to Carter and she tells him she could tell he knew all along. He then goes to Stark and tells him that this is his fault but Stark says that Jarvis can get her back on his side. This of course leads us to the Stan Lee Cameo! He is sitting next to Stark as he gets his shoes cleaned. The chief comes back to his office and catches up with what has been happening while he was gone. Carter comes home, Stark is gone and her neighbor has hid the dead body under her bed. Carter turns on the music and starts to hammer away at the wall behind a picture so that she can hide the blood there. She then puts the bricks back in place and rehangs the picture. The chief gets a mystery message that we don't get to see yet and thus ends another great episode in the life of Peggy Carter. With a part of Steve Rogers in it! Well his blood anyways. Episode 3 of our show written by Andi Bushell starts off with our hero going through her notes as a man tries to climb into her apartment window. It turns out that he is the boyfriend of the girl next door. He asks if he can come in to get next door but Peggy just closes the window on his face. The poor guy just wants to see his girl. Said girl is found out and kicked out of the complex for it. They are very strict at this place.
Thomson and the other male agents are going over what they found out. They are still well behind Carter. But they did find a lead on Stark, things don't look good for the father of the man of iron. Peggy and Jarvis go to one of Starks houses and moments later Thomson and Sousa show up. They take Jarvis away but don't spot Carter. It's always hard watching the good guys suck so bad at their jobs. Jarvis is being questioned by Thomson while Carter watches on pretending not to know who he is. At one point in time Jarvis was charged with treason and got a dishonorable discharge. Thomson tries to use this against him. Telling him that he could use it to get him deported. Jarvis is close to cracking, or so they think and Carter takes off and picks up some paper work for the chief to sign. He is too busy watching the questioning that he doesn't even read what he signs. She then tells the chief, where Jarvis could hear her, that she found the stolen car report. They yell at her, thinking that she didn't know what she was doing. They look down on her and she played them, using it against them. A new girl named Dotty Underwood moves in to replace the one that was just kicked out. Carter, trying to get some work done, pisses of her only real friend. She then goes on to confront Jarvis but he has nothing to say. He shows her the spot where someone dug into the room. She starts to ask him about what he did that was treason but he won't answer. She doesn't push it too hard. Sousa has the hots for Carter but doesn't know how to go about it. Jarvis tells Carter why he was given a charge of treason. He forged his commander's name to save the woman who would become his wife. She was Jewish during world war 2 and was to be put to death. He did the only thing he could and Stark saved him. Despite what people say about him he is a good man. Agent Carter finds the stolen items but Jarvis points out that she can't turn them in because they will think that she is working with Stark, which she is. He tells her that she has to clear his name from the shadows. She can't be seen as the one doing the work. Jarvis puts on a voice and call Sousa to tell him where the weapons are. A man guarding the weapons almost kills Carter before Jarvis jumps in. He almost takes Jarvis out before Carter takes him out. This dude is a good fighter but our girl wins in the end. They leave him with the weapons. He can tell everyone that it was Jarvis and Carter that stopped him. That would not be good! Sure enough he tells them about an English girl who stopped him but before he could say anymore the car gets rammed and the agent is killed, as is he. Sousa think that it was a set up. That's why they called their office. The chief says that they are all in this mess because of Howard Stark. Making Carter's job even harder. Carter goes to her friends job and tells her about her day, well a version of her day. Thus fixing their friendship. It only had to come at the death of a coworker. The thrilling second episode of Agent Carter, written by Eric Pearson, starts off with the one and only Ralph Garman of Hollywood Babylon Flame playing a radio actor. Can we just take a moment to sit in awe of the greatest unknown actor America has ever seen? He should get an Oscar, just saying.
Carter tells Jarvis that she should go forward in the investigation alone, feeling that he won't be of much help to her. Little does she know! Across town an nonspeaking assassin goes looking for his target, one Leet Brannis. The search for Stark leads Thomson to the Raxxon company, any fans of the comic world know that name well. The are an evil oil company that causes a lot of problems for heroes over the years, mostly Iron Man. Now Peggy has a problem, there was a good chance she was exposed to a small sample of radiation and now her boss wants her to scan the women at Raxxon for it. This could prove difficult for her. Luckily only her watch was registering so she was able to help out without giving herself away. She recognized one of the men in line from the other night and suggests they check his clothes for radiation as well. He takes off running and the male agents give him chase. Carter catches him first without even trying. Proving once again that she is better than the rest of them. Peggy is currently staying at one of Stark's houses but her friend from the dinner keeps trying to sell her on moving in to her building, making them neighbors. Peggy keeps shooting her down, hurting the poor girls feelings. Peggy catches the nonspeaking assain and convinces him to help her, while on the road they get attacked. While fighting on the roof with the attacker they lose control of the van and it goes over a cliff and explodes. Peggy makes it off while Jarvis pulls the nonspeaking man out. His voice box is broken and he is dying. The only clue he can give them is drawing a heart. Peggy rubs it out and takes off with Jarvis so that the other agents don't find the same clue. Peggy agrees to move into her friends building. Her friend couldn't be more excited! Sousa is looking for a blonde girl who he believes can help him find Stark, little does he know that the blonde girl is Peggy in a wig! The second episode of the Agent Carter ends and leaves us wanting more, just as any great show does!! The second ABC show set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This one set in 1946, following the adventures of Peggy Carter. She has to deal with being a woman in a man's world all the while dealing with the loss of her beloved Steve Rogers AKA Captain America.
In the first episode written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeel we start off with a flash back to Captain America crashing the plane into the ice at the end of the movie. It sets up Peggy's emotional arc for the first season. We also are quickly exposed to the story arc, it would seem that Howard Stark is wanted by the authorities. Howard Stark, the father of Tony Stark, no matter what the comic books say. We see right off the bat that Peggy is not treated well at the SSR, Strategic Scientific Reserve, she is thought of as nothing but a woman. Women are seen as less than men and she suffers for that. They want Peggy to watch the phones but she forces her way into the room. She is insulted by her fellow agents but Daniel Sousa sticks up for her. She snaps at him, telling him that she doesn't need help. That she can take care of herself. She isn't wrong. People treat her like she was nothing more than Cap's girlfriend during the war, not noting that she was so much more. Outside the bar she meets Jarvis and knocks him out. And shoots at Stark before figuring out its him. He tells her about how his store room was robbed. He asks her to look into things and clear his name. She agrees. It isn't long before she starts to look into the case, even stealing information out from under Thomson who is assigned the case. Jarvis doesn't much care to venture outside his home at night, something that changes really fast once he starts living a life of action. And oh what action we have in this first episode. While not on the budget of the big films in the universe it still looks amazing for a low budget TV show. Welcome to the MCU of the late 40's. Hope you survive the experience.
