The episode starts with our heroes walking around what looks to be a giant outdoor mall. They all seem kind of down and out, except for Wade, who is having the time of her life. She just wants to make the most of the two days they have on world.
There is a wallet left forgotten on the ground. Remy is about to pick it up, but Wade stops him. After all, everyone is looking at it as if it is the scariest thing in the world. Quinn doesn't understand what the issue is and he picks it up. Just as some random woman shoots a tranquillizer dart at him. It misses and hits some random guy. Arturo suggests that they take off. They waste no time in leaving the area. We catch up with them at hotel where we see on TV a show called the Judgement Game. It seems that on this world there is no crime. Which makes them think there was more to the wallet than meets the eye. The random lady with the dart gun comes into the hotel. She knows Quinn, which means that she knows his double. She handcuffs him before shooting him with the dart gun. She tells them that if they interfere they will end up playing the game as well. The bartender gives them the address of the show, where Quinn was taken. We learn very quickly that the lady was after Quinn's double. It seems that he has played the game many times in the past. Quinn is going to play in the show that very day. He tries to explain that he isn't who they are after, but they don't want to hear it. The others arrive in front of a large crowd, just in time to witness a crowd cheer on someone being whipped. It seems that hurting people is a sport for these people. They walk past and try to get in, but only one of them can get in and speak for Quinn. The audience is already full. They send in Arturo, while Remy and Wade watch from outside. It seems that Quinn is being tried for murder. While they are introducing the show, we see Quinn's double having a beer and watching the show. When Arturo shows up to defend Quinn, they make him swear that he has no legal expertise. The person trying to convict Quinn is an actor, advertising his new show. Arturo objects to the charges, and is threatened. It seems that lawyers were not only banned, but no one is allowed to use the law to defend themselves. They show a video of Quinn's double and the crowd start cheering and chanting that he is guilty. Wade and Remy sneak into the building, trying to find someone who could help them. Wade ends up in the vents and spots people working on computers. It looks as if they are faking video footage. Arturo is planning on telling the viewing audience everything. About how they are sliders. Wade finds the bounty hunter who brought in Quinn and tries to explain everything that is going on. The bounty hunter doesn't want to listen. Meanwhile Quinn is having the same hard time explaining it on the show. One bit of difference. The audience seems to like Quinn's story. Now comes the voting. What is the verdict? Will Quinn be okay? Will it all go to hell? Quinn is found guilty. He is forced to pick his punishment, when he doesn't they pick for him. He is set to have his head cut off. He is going to have it happen the next day on the next episode. The bounty hunter starts to have second thoughts that maybe there is something wrong here. Arturo tries to save Quinn from getting beat up, but it's no use. They throw him in a van and drive off, leaving Arturo alone with the horrible thought that he may never see Quinn again. Our heroes come to see Quinn in the prison . He asks how they are going to get them out of there, but they have no answer. They slide 11 minutes after he is set to die. The only hope they have is to find Quinn's double. They set out to find him. Wade pretends to be pregnant with his child and gets his girlfriend to rat him out. She sets off to go and find him. That night the bounty hunter goes to visit our Quinn and finds out for sure that he isn't the Quinn of this world. The other sliders try to find the double, but he's out on the town and they are having no luck. Arturo and Wade patch things up after their blow up where he insulted her intelligence. At long last, Quinn's double arrives home. He recognizes Arturo and takes off running. He almost gets away when the bounty hunter shoots him and he goes down for the count. The double swears that he is innocent, and Wade figures out that they are faking the videos. It doesn't take Wade and the bounty hunter to find out that the real bad guy is the producer. He tries to stop them but they over power him, but not before he locks them in. They escape out of the vents, with the disc that proves it was all fake. This world has grown tired of the criminals having more rights than the victim. So they got rid of the rights of the accused. It's an episode well ahead of it's time. It's what we see more and more of in the internet. People being accused of something and torn apart before the truth can come out. Good sci-fi, is always a reflection of not just where we are, but where we are headed if we are not careful and this episode fits that bill perfectly. As they take Quinn to his death, Wade shows up and pretends to be a reporter. They break him out of his chains and help him to escape under the news van. They tie up the reporter so that they think that Quinn attacked her to escape. They have five minutes to slide, but the producer knows something is up. He is about to find Quinn and Wade when Arturo starts to drive and Remy throws them out. They have to escape before they slide, but now everyone is after them. The van stops in front of a cliff. They couldn't get passed the gate. It's all coming down to the wire. They have less than a minute as everyone shows up. All the cops have guns trained on them with 12 seconds to spare. Quinn jumps before time runs out. The others follow, he opens the vertex just in time before the hit the bottom. They escape the hell that is this world and the bounty hunter tells all the gathered reporters that she has proof the game is fixed. On the new world they land and are filmed coming out of the vertex. They are worried everything is going to hell. Quinn managed to get the tape, telling the others he pretended to be an alien, implying that they were not human. Another fun episode of Sliders is now behind us. I can't wait for the next exciting episode.

Welcome back one and all, todays episode of Sliders is the first episode of season 3 to come out, but should have been the second. Due to the fact that we learn important information in the episode that comes after this for why the rules of Sliding have changed. Like most things in life, Fox messes it up. Firefly still hurts and always will. This episode was written by Josef Anderson and directed by Oscar L. Costo. Due to the changes that Quinn's double made to the timer, our gang lands on a jet in the air. That's a scary thought. They are just lucky that they landed on a jet and not in the air. Wade rushes off to the restroom due to the fact that she gets airsick, while the rest of the gang hears about the games for the first time. They don't bother to ask any questions so they are blindsided by what is about to happen. The airplane starts to go down and they learn that no one is flying the plane. Quinn and Professor Arturo attempt to right the plane while everyone gets ready for a crash landing. Remy takes Wade's hand to help keep her from freaking out. The plane lands and we hear rules for the game being told to everyone. Wade and Remy go to find Quinn and the Professor who have figured out that the plane was just a simulation. It wasn't real. They didn't land in the air. The Sliders are in the middle of a real life war game. The other contestants tell them to get some gear before it's too late. They want to stay in the simulator until the 36 hours pass by and they can slide. That's not an option as the place heats up and catches fire. They take what they can and rush out of the simulator which looks to be a house from outside where they are immediately shot at. Quinn and the Professor take out the guns that are coming out of the ground. Not a fun start to this new world. They find out that some of the cars have bombs. Remy and the professor look the car over to see if it has a bomb in it. Turns out Remy overstated his skill level at finding them, but luckily the professor knows what he is doing. Remy goes in alone to test the car but everything works out fine. They now have wheels. It isn't long before they come under attack and have to flee the car. Which is made all the worst by the professor getting hit and going blind. The game moves up to level 2 with only 18 teams left. The professor is not taking going blind well. I wouldn't either. As the sliders make their way through the game we come across the team that was trying to give them advice, one of their members is dying. The Sliders learn that the teams don't fight each other until the last level. They have some time before things become even more hellish. Their somewhat friends give them a keycard to get into a safe haven before taking off and leaving them behind. They find their safe haven. It's a rundown looking building. It gives them food, water and ammo. Also letting them know that they are down to the last 16 teams. You really have to wonder about a world that takes enjoyment from watching people kill each other for fun. This type of event would take a toll on anyone, but the professor, dealing with the loss of his sight, is having a really hard time accepting it. He tells Quinn that every teacher goes through life wishing for a student as great as him. It's a sweet moment that makes it seem like he is saying goodbye to him. So of course the next scene we find the professor gone. We think he ran off, but it turns out he was trying to use the restroom, got hurt and busted his head open. Quinn helps him get up and inside just as robot hunters show up. Things are getting intense. Quinn, a book warm scientist, is a surprising good shot and takes out the robot. He and Wade are separated from Remy and the Professor. They decide to both head to the finish line and try to catch up with each other. Wade starts playing an old hopscotch game, talking about when she was kid. Little did she know that it was a trap. A beam full of nails comes out behind her. Quinn tries to find a way to get her off without killing them both. He needs to displace her weight. It works, but only for a second. They manage to make it behind a wall before it goes off. They aren't hurt. The professor tries to talk Remy into leaving him behind. He doesn't want to go to new worlds if he can't see them. Remy offers to explain everything to him, but that isn't good enough. He wants to just give up. I love the professor, but he's very melodramatic. He just can't handle asking for help, or needing other people. He attempts to walk off, but walks into a truck and get caught. He finally caves and asks for help. Pride is the downfall of us all. Quinn and Wade keep looking for their lost friends, who have gotten stuck on a magnetic spiderweb. The professor is fine, but Remy needs him to the spiders. Who in their right mind would ask a blind man to fire in their general direction? It's insane, but Remy has no other choice. He directs him on where to aim. The first spider is toast. The second escapes, the first two times. The professor gets it at last. There is only one left and it's closing in on Remy. Getting way too close. The professor tries to shoot but is out of ammo. Shit is getting tense. Remy is sure that he is going to die, but the professor manages to reload and fire, just in time. Saving him just in time to join the final 12 teams in level four. While they are recovering, Quinn and Wade start to get closer. They have such an interesting relationship. Life long friends who have something more than friendship just under the surface. Just as they start to connect they are attacked and forced to run. Where they are saved by the sole survivor of the group that they keep befriending. She feels them in on everything that they are playing for. Just one member of the team needs to make it to the finish line. The three of them decide to stick together, because as long as one of her team makes it to the finish line, all their families get the five million dollar prize. The professor and Remy get attacked by a robot dog. They are having no luck in this damn game. Every three seconds they are attacked by something. Made all the harder by the professor's blindness. Quinn starts to bond with the other girl as the timer goes down to 2 hours. Still no sign of the others. She asks Quinn to place her medallion in the recorder in case she doesn't make it. She wants to make sure her family is taken care of as they enter the last level where only three teams are left standing. No sooner do they announce that there are three teams left, then we witness one of those teams getting gunned down. Our heroes and their new friend are all that is left. Remy and the Professor find Quinn and Wade. It's all coming down to the wire now. Just as the Professor starts to regain his ability to see. Just as everything seems to be over, the new girl is shot. She is dying, but she reminds Quinn of her final request. Quinn tries to save her, but there isn't time. They only have a few minutes left, but Quinn wants to place the medallion on the victory pad first. The professor figures out they see heat so they use CO2 to blind the robots and get to the finish line. He places it in the machine and everything stops. The game is over and the Silders still have time to slide. Alls well that ends well. They leave this horrible world behind. The professor lets out a shout of glee as he can see the vertex. It's a fun episode that is well worth the watch. It was written by the team of Tony Blake and Paul Jackson, directed by Richard Compton and has one of the more what the fuck plots of the show. I really love this episode and it gets referenced a lot, even in later seasons.
The Sliders end up landing in a subway tunnel as the train heads right towards them. They have to take off running, a task made all the harder when Remy trips and gets his shoe stuck in the rail. They try to get his new shoe off, but they can't do it in time. Luckily for them, this earth has a daily blackout. The train powers down. Giving them the time they need to escape with their lives. On this world, gas is $410. That's insane. Who can afford that. They don't sell hotdogs. This whole world seems to be poor. That is until the only car we see pulls up with a plate that reads the crying man. She seems to be a big fan of Remy's double. She hits on him while the others learn that the whole paper in this world is one page. They have 32 hours, so Remy goes with this new woman and enjoys lunch out in LA. Guys in motorcycles show up looking for them, they take off running. They end up trapped, when a woman takes off her helmet and refers to them as Sliders. She knows the Professors double. Her name is Logan. That's important! She studies Sliding technology. The Professor's double died a few days before they arrived. Arturo finds this an odd turn of events. Sliding on this world isn't perfected yet. Everything that goes into the vertex comes out corrupted. Quinn and Logan come to an agreement. He will help her fix it so things don't burn up on reentry and she will help him control where they go. Meanwhile, we start to learn that Remy is on a date with a stalker. When he goes to the restroom, we learn that his date thinks they are engaged. Is she engaged to his double, or just crazy? Who the hell knows. Logan learns that she is Quinn's double. A female double. What a crazy turn of events. They are the same person, just with different names and different genders. We've never seen that before. It's kind of cool. Wade is starting to get freaked out that they are being watched and Arturo believes that something is wrong with how his doubled died. Logan starts to hit on Quinn. It's a bit weird. At the hotel we learn that Arturo was having an affair with Logan. Which shows us that she was lying to them, about that at least. The mystery is afoot. Remy ends up finding a room that is a creepy shrine to him. She then walks into the room in a wedding dress. He needs to escape and fast, this woman is insane. Logan opens up a vertex which gets out of control. Quinn ends up saving her life. This is where we learn there is more going on than we thought. The vertex had enough power to send an army through it. Why would they need that kind of power? By this point we have three different stories going on. Remy with his stalker. Quinn with his double and trying to figure out how to fix the sliding device. Finally, Wade and Arturo trying to solve the other Arturo's murder. Logan tries to get Quinn to skip the slide and stay with her. She even kisses him. She knows that they are the same person and she is using that to seduce him. It's a little creepy. Wade uncovers footage of Logan pushing Arturo into the wormhole. They copy the file onto a floppy, such old times. Everything is starting to come to a head. At least until Wade gets caught and looses the footage. Arturo tells Quinn everything, they are concerned that Wade is being hurt by the people who Logan works for, but she shows up and tells them how she escaped. She tells Quinn that he should still go to work. She even yells at Arturo, giving us a hint that she is not who she claims to be. Quinn goes back to the office. Remy is trying to escape from his stalker, who wants him to sing for her. She wants him to sing for her, but he doesn't know his double's songs. Before he can get out of there, her real boyfriend shows up and he has to escape. He manages to get out of the house, meaning he only has a few hours to get all the way up to San Francisco. Remy and fake Wade learn that the Arturo double had a disk that proves how evil the company is. The double's wife lets slip that Arturo's double invented sliding and Wade lets slip that she thought he invented it on both worlds. He ties her up. They now have to find the real Wade before they leave. Remy climbs onto the top of a train to make it in time. It's a crazy idea, but it's that or end up getting killed by the crazy boyfriend. This train goes over 200 miles an hour. Remy uses his belt to try and keep himself on the train, between that and the other guy on the roof he manages to stay on. Quinn and Arturo start looking for the disk, which they find. They now have to trade it for Wade and escape before it's too late. They watch the disk and learn that Logan wants to use sliding to raid other world's for their resources. Logan tells Quinn that they are doubles and she won't give them Wade. Quinn freaks out a little, not that I could blame him. That would weird me out as well. They fight and Logan pushes our Arturo into the vertex as well. Thank god the vertex is fixed and Arturo returns to the world. Everyone thinks he is dead, he has time to try and save everyone. Quinn puts a virus in the computer and won't fix it till Wade is brought to him. Arturo shows up with a gun and helps them escape. Logan finds out that the computer had figured out her problem but Quinn had erased it. She is pissed, but too bad. She shouldn't have been evil. Remy shows up at the hotel with a few minutes to spare, luckily Quinn and the others are right behind him. They open the vertex just as the bad guys show up. They live to slide another day. They land in LA, they learn that Logan switched out the chips in the timer. They can now land anywhere between LA and San Fran. Logan shows up and holds them at gun point. She wants the Quinn to come with her, He won't go, she shoots Wade but the Vertex pulls her and the bullet back into the timer. Quinn didn't send her home. She is now loose in the multiverse. Who knows where she has ended up. She could run into them at anytime on any world. God I love this show!
mansion where Quinn notices a body in the pool. He dives in and pulls out his double. Remy runs to the house and finds a double of Wade who seems to be married to this Quinn as Arturo informs the others that it is too late. Quinn is dead, or at least his double is.
As double Wade turns away from double Quinn's body she is shocked to see our Quinn and Wade standing there. That must have been some shock. Double Wade calls someone to let them know that double Quinn is dead but she doesn't want to call the police. A local magazine lets them know that a young man is running for president. It would seem that we are on some kind of Logan's Run or Children of the Corn type world, run by young people. Wade and Quinn are alone in a bedroom talking about how they feel about each other when double Wade interrupts them. The butler/maid guy steals the timer as double Wade tells them that they have people from the legislator coming. Double Quinn was trying to pass a bill that would allow him to introduce a device that would replace the school district. Double Wade talks Quinn into standing in for Double Quinn so that he can help the bill pass. Arturo is against it. Remy says that they would be there for moral support but Double Wade informs them that they are too old. Damn ageist. People over 30 are second class citizens, I'm turning 28 on Friday. I'm almost there, ahhhh!!!!!!!!!! Quinn tries to fit in with all these young nerds and get a feel for the politics but it all seems too much for him. I don't blame him, it is insane. On this world back in 1980 they changed the laws so that the voting age is 9 and you are forced to retire by 30. Howard Stern is the reason for all of this. Arturo tries to buy a beer and is refused because he is too old. The bartender tries to hit Arturo with a bat and gets his ass beat. Arturo and Remy clean house, it's pretty funny. Quinn learns that the program he is trying to pass is a fraud, or at least that is what his partner is telling him. Double Wade tells him to avoid that guy. She tells him that she is a lair. Wade snoops through the house and finds a lot of uppers but Quinn writes it off as their doubles just trying to make it in this world. Double Wade tells one of their partners about Quinn, Quinn is nervous about it but Double Wade kisses him and distracts him. Wade calls him out and Quinn quickly moves away. The partner tells them that they have to keep helping or they won't get the timer back. On top of that he will even end up face down in the pool again. Double Wade tries to help but there is nothing he can do. Arturo and Remy are on trial for the fighting in the bar. The judge is about to let them go because he thinks their attorney is cute but Arturo tries to put him in his place and they are sentenced to 30 days. On the way to jail Arturo and Remy pretend to argue until Arturo fakes a heart attack. They attack their guard and escapes. Double Wade tells Quinn all about this world and how corrupt it is before they go into a board room. Quinn learns that the education program his double is backing is little more than a way to sell products to people. Double Wade clears the board room and tries to talk Quinn down but he wants none of it. She lets it slip that the whole thing will be over a week from Wednesday, but they have to slide this Wednesday. He isn't happy about it so she kisses him. Double Wade keeps seducing Quinn and our Wade is getting more and more worried that she can't find Arturo or Remy. Quinn starts to learn that Double Wade masterminded their partner's death. It's all getting to be too much for Quinn. He needs to get the timer and get the hell off this world. Double Wade tries once more to seduce Quinn but this time he doesn't let her. He demands the timer back but she tells him to finish the call with the LT. Governor and she will try and get the timer back. He falls for it, why I don't know. After the phone call he tells Double Wade to release Wade from house arrest but she tries to get into his head again. She is good, but Quinn is done falling for it. Finally. Remy and Arturo are in a homeless shelter, trying to avoid being outside after curfew. As the sun comes up Quinn gets his Wade and the two of them start trying to figure out what really happened, all the while they are being watched. Not as slick as they should be. Remy's and Arturo's lawyer finds them in the homeless shelter and they try to talk her into letting them escape but she won't hear. Arturo tries to reason with her but damn this girl is all about the money, so Remy tries to talk her into being a real lawyer and not just going with the flow. That doesn't work either. Wade and Quinn start to put together that Double Wade not only killed the woman's husband but also may be behind Double Quinn. Quinn and Wade get in their car and find Double Wade's henchman in the backseat with a gun. Things are not looking good for any of our heroes. The partner trying to blackmail them, named Kyle, is telling Quinn that he is pissed but Quinn plays a tape of Wade pretending to be Double Wade and confessing to the murders. Kyle knows it is our Wade but Quinn points out that it will do too much damage to the company. He tells Kyle to give him the timer or they will release the tapes. They have 3 hours left and still have no idea where Arturo or Remy are. We know where they are, in court with the same judge that sentenced them last time. Their attorney shows up at the last minute with new information. She wants to try to be a real lawyer. She wins their case for them. Look at her, when she tries she can do good. They are free to go, let's just hope they get back to the mansion in time. Double Wade shows up and tells Quinn and Wade that she is not happy, but it turns out that Quinn and Wade found the real tape showing the murder of Double Quinn. They tell her that they not only have a second tape but that her henchman double-crossed her. Seems that Quinn made him the new recipient of the Double Quinn's will. Double Wade tries to kill them all but they stop her and have her arrested just as Remy and Arturo show up. Everyone comes together just as the time comes to slide.
We quickly learn that they are on a world full of lawyers where everyone is so terrified of being sued that almost nothing gets done. They try and order a burger but need different forms of ID and insurance. It's funny but also a bit sad because we aren't that far from being there ourselves. Remy accidently bumps into an old lady who almost imminently tries to sue him and an attorney runs up to Remy and gives him his card, wanting to defend him in the lawsuit. The gang laughs as they open the vortex and leave this world behind.
After the credits we get a scene that would not have been out of place in the Godfather. Two rival families are getting married together and the bride to be doesn't seem to happy about it. The vortex opens and the sliders pop out, only to find themselves face to face with a wedding party armed with guns. They all seem to know Remy, calling him by his last name and referring to them as the Incorruptibles. He hugs the singer and tells him its been a while since they worked together, the man denied ever working with him. Everyone turns to give him a dirty look. This will not go well for the man. The hotel clerk, that seems to have the same job on every world, calls and reports that the sliders checked into his hotel. Things are not looking up for our heroes. Arturo quickly learns that there is no liquor in the room. We also learn that gambling is big here. The hotel clerk sends Quinn outside where we see the singer that Remy IDed by mistake at the wedding. Turns out he is working for Remy and that was a happy accident. Or an unhappy one. Quinn makes it back to the room only to find that Remy and Wade accepted a bribe by mistake. Remy, Wade and Quinn want to return the money but Arturo wants to avoid the mob at any cost. Not such a bad idea. Nothing good can come from messing with the mob. Quinn takes the money and heads to the informants show. He hopes to find this world's Remy and figure out what to do about the money. Quinn tries to order a beer and the bartender tells him it isn't a speakeasy, clue Quinn, that is called a clue! A beautiful woman is being manhandled and Quinn jumps in to save her. She rewards him with a kiss and Quinn goes all googly eyes, not noticing that she stole the money. Well at least until it's too late. Arturo quickly figures out everything that is going on in this world, right down to the two families trying to form an alliance by getting married. Meanwhile Quinn tells the informant what happens and he seems to believe him. He tells Quinn he will put in a call for him. He goes on and on about how he wants to go home and be done with all this, all but telling you what is going to happen before it does. He gets in his car, turns it on and it explodes. Can't have a gangsta film without a car explosion, it is just too bad that it had to be him. This world's Remy shows up to find out what happened. He now hears that he was the one who exposed the informant. He is now out to find our Remy, thinking that he is a gangsta trying to impersonate him. This episode is getting so good, God how can anyone not love this show? I hate remakes, I really do, but if I was ever going to work on a remake it would be a sliders remake. I don't think any cast could be as good as this one but I would kill for the chance to tell stories in this world. The way you can comment on our world, our society, so well. This is the type of story telling I need to work on. The bride to be shows up at the hotel room and asks Remy to put her in protective custody. She tells Remy that they talked about it over the phone. She even hands him a list of her father's illegal contracts. Remy tries to tell her that he isn't the man she is looking for. Wade tells her they will go to the police but she freaks out. She tells them they don't have time. Arturo changes his mind. He tells Remy to stay with her while he and Wade go to the FBI. Quinn tries to hunt down the woman who stole from him. It doesn't take long to find her. He tells her where the money she stole came from. She gets scared quickly. Turns out she lost almost all the money gambling, only having 5 grand left of the 100 grand that she stole. Quinn takes the 5 G's and tries to win it back. Arturo and Wade find out that the FBI is located in a building that looks more run down than most slums. They end up talking to this world's Remy who doesn't seem to believe them. Wade accuses him of being on the take. He threatens to arrest her. He tells them to tell the bride that there is nothing he can do. Victory seems out of their grasp. Quinn is cleaning up at the black jack table but the casino kicks him. Lucky he won back the money he needed. The bride's father finds out that his daughter has turned on him. Arturo and Wade give the DA, who doesn't seem trustworthy in the least, the CD with the names on it. He sends Arturo and Wade to a safe house he has. Quinn walks into the hotel room to find the mob already there. Trouble is afoot. Arturo and Wade are taken prisoner by the mob as well. Seems the DA is just as corrupt as I thought. To make matters worse they only have 11 minutes until the slide. The bride's father shows up and tells them that if they want to live he has to turn over his daughter, they refuse. Remy and the daughter are listening in as we learn that the DA is working for him. We all knew that. The second he says it the FBI storms in, just in time to save Wade. A shoot out happens, somehow our heroes and the mob boss are all okay. Seems this world's Remy was planning this with Quinn and our Remy. Quinn leaves the bride 5 grand and tells her to give it to the girl who stole from him so she can leave this world. All's well that ends well, and this episode proves it more than any other. Right as Quinn is about to slide we find out that the informant is still alive and kicking. Now that is a twist no one saw coming. I say again, what a great show! On a less upbeat note, we learn that the girl Quinn sent the money to, yeah she played him both times. She was working with the bartender and the black jack dealer. The only upside with that is that we see that Quinn being the great guy he is, has got into her head and made her think twice about the life she is living. It is never too late to turn your life around.
Remy shows up in a car with a beautiful woman, he tries to sweet talk her but keeps getting shocked. I don't know how I would handle wearing a truth collar, it's not that I like to lie, well when I'm acting you have to! It's always nice to be able to twist the truth a bit in order to have a happy life. Something that this world doesn't allow it's citizens.
Wade is the last to show, with a full news crew behind her. She had to tell them everything because well, it's tell the truth or get shocked by the collar. They quickly jump into the vortex leaving the news and that Earth behind. This my friends, is where our story begins. They crash land on an egg, breaking it. Arturo quickly notices that San Francisco is nowhere to be seen. It doesn't take us long to figure out who the egg belongs to. A dino quickly chases the sliders out of their cave and through the forest. Arturo hurts his leg and tries to lie about it. The bad news for him, they are still wearing the truth collar. To add to their problems, the timer fell out of Arturo's pocket, forcing Quinn to back track for it. Remy and Wade help Arturo make it to a cave to hide out while the angry mother dino hunts them down and Quinn is off alone in the woods looking for the lost timer. The cave the gang hides out in is a vast empty room. Remy points out that none of them saw the timer before they lost it. They have no idea how long they have on this world or if they already missed their slide. Not good news for the gang. Wade goes exploring in the cave and finds crates full of eggs. Someone is here hunting dino eggs. The mother dino finds them and they try to scare her away when a woman shows up out of nowhere and screams at them to put down the rocks. She tells them that they are all under arrest for poaching. She also informs them that she found their friend's dead body back in the woods. Wade runs out of the cave and starts screaming for Quinn. Remy stops her from going out. The ranger lady tells them that the arrest team will be there in two days and she is a hologram sent there to watch them until they can be locked up. Arturo tries to explain to her what they are and why they are there. She doesn't believe a word of it. She informs them that she has been following them for weeks. Wade tells her about the truth collars. Wade uses this to try and prove her point. Remy tries to stop her but the hologram ranger doesn't want to listen. Now here is the part where we get a lecture on how evil humans are. It causes a fight between Wade and the others. Tension is running high. They decide to let Remy go out in search of Quinn but if he doesn't return in a half hour the others will come out and look for him. As time goes on they make a point of showing us Remy but still no sign of Quinn. It adds to the sense of dread. Wade talks about to Arturo about her feelings for Quinn, as if they never dated or anything but on episodes past they make it seem as if they have something going on. The most confusing thing in this entire show is what is the deal between Wade and Quinn. They are cute together. Arturo starts talking about when he first met Quinn and how proud he was of him, even when he first met him. That Quinn was the type of student that every teacher longs for. Kind of makes you think that he is the real Arturo doesn't it? Maybe it is. Gun shots go off in the distance, sending Wade out to go find him. It doesn't take her long to run into and the two return to the cave, still no sign of Quinn. However we have a new friend. The real poacher. He is the one who fired the gun shot and saved Remy's life. He starts to tell them about how he uses Dino parts to help sick humans, and make some money on the side. She calls him a liar and he disrupts her signal, getting rid of the hologram ranger. The way they see it they have 3 choices. Wait for the ranger and go to jail, help the poacher and maybe be save or go for the timer. But no matter what they do, they have to find out if Quinn is alive or dead. They tell the poacher they want to stay but he is not happy about it. He tells them that they messed up his life, putting him on America's most wanted, all because he saved them. They are helping him, if they want to or not. Even tells them he will kill them if they cross him. Not such a nice man after all. While the poacher is asleep Wade sneaks over and steals the disruptor. She turns it off but the hologram ranger doesn't come back. Wade goes out into the woods in search of Quinn, hoping that she has better luck than Remy did. She is calling for Quinn when the poacher puts his hand over her mouth, he tells her that Quinn is dead but moments later Quinn saves her from a dinosaur. The poacher tries to kill it but ends up being eaten. There goes his millions of dollars. Quinn gets the truth collars off of them and the hologram returns telling them that they have an hour and a half left. The poacher has an attractant and a repellent but they don't know which is which. The gang comes up with a plan to get out of the cave, it all starts with Wade and a flare gun. Meanwhile the hologram ranger leads Quinn back towards the timer. Remy stays with the professor. When Quinn gets close to the timer Wade fires the flare gun off. Quinn gets the timer and finds out they only have two minutes. The hologram ranger tells the others and they all rush to Quinn, not an easy thing for the professor and his hurt leg. Arturo and Remy make it into the vortex as Quinn waits for Wade who makes it just in time. Quinn jumps in just as the dino attacks. Ironically they land at a dig site of the remains for the same type of dinosaur that attacked them. You have to love sliders. How could you not?
Arturo talks the others into keeping it all hush hush until they can figure everything out. Remy isn't happy about it but the others talk him into it. They all settle back into their lives but right away we see that no one is all that surprised to see Arturo. It is almost as if he hasn't been missing for 18 months like the others.
Remy tells his manger what happened while Arturo tells the world all about Sliding, passing the whole thing off as his idea. Wade is beyond pissed but Quinn is in a state of shock. Arturo made them promise not to come forward and then he turns around tells the world. Wade and Remy tell Quinn that they will stand by him if he wants to come forward. Remy quickly uses it to boost his career. Wade is also using it to make herself rich. Quinn feels betrayed by all of them. You can't really blame them. It is all a bit much. Quinn finds proof that they aren't really home but Wade and Remy don't want to listen to him. They won't accept that they aren't home. Arturo won't accept Quinn's calls and to make matters worse the timer is stolen from Quinn's house. What would you do? Everything seems so perfect, so close to how you remember home. Would you accept that you are home even as the evidence mounts that you aren't? I don't know what I would do, it would be a hard choice to make. One that Remy and Wade don't want to deal with but that Quinn can't stop thinking about. Arturo won't stop telling the whole world about sliding and how it works and how smart he is. Quinn shows up and confronts Arturo trying to tell him that they aren't home but all Arturo cares about is if Quinn will try to steal the credit. He blows Quinn off just like the others. Remy and Wade start talking about how they are going to get Quinn to accept that this is home. It seems that everyone is turning against Quinn. Just as you start to forget about the fact the Remy is really on another world talking about this slide they remind you. Back in the past Wade gives Arturo a piece of her mind about stealing Quinn's invention but Arturo tells her that he invented it. That all Quinn really did was take his ideas and expand upon it. Something we know to be untrue. It's at this moment that Wade finds the timer in the museums. It turns out that Arturo stole the timer. Why is Arturo doing this to the gang? After all that they have been through. It's just too much. Wade tells Quinn where the timer is but hangs up on him when he once more tries to tell her that they aren't home. Moments later she sees the Golden Gate bridge and notices that it is blue. She breaks down, Quinn tries to cheer her up but it's hard. You make it home after 18 months of being lost and not only do you make it home to see all your lost love ones but you also made a name for yourself only to have it all taken away from them in a moment. It's too much for anyone. Wade and Quinn confront Arturo who they quickly learn knew all along that they weren't home. This episode really makes you go from liking Arturo to hating him. Quinn asks for the timer back but Arturo tells them no. He threatens Quinn when Quinn tells him that he will steal the timer back. The team is breaking up and it is so hard to watch. Not in the episode is bad way but in it is so good but heart breaking way. Meanwhile Remy's life is going better than ever, at least until his old bandmates demand that they be allowed to cry on stage as well. So much for everything being better. Fame comes with a price just like anything else in life. Quinn and Wade steal the timer only to learn that it is a fake. They broke in and ended up getting caught all to steal a fake timer. Back in the present Remy is about to leave the office when the doctor asks him to stay just a bit longer. The doctor leaves the room and tells his secretary to order a strait jacket for Remy. He wants to have him committed. Quinn and Wade spend the night in jail before Remy bails them out and tells them that he has learned they aren't really home. That on this world his band own part of his music, something that never happened on Earth Prime. The gang break into Arturo's house where they find him chained to a chair in the basement. It seems that this Earth's Arturo had never left this world. This Arturo backed out of sliding and went into hiding trying to recreate sliding on his own. When our Arturo showed up they knocked him out and kidnapped him. The timer is gone and this world's Arturo shows up. He claims to be the real Arturo, confusing the gang. He tells the gang that he escaped and captured the fake Arturo. He then starts telling them facts that only he would know. The Arturo tells them that anyone who read Wade's book would know the truth. Now, think for a moment. How would the real Arturo have known that Wade sold her book if he was chained up the whole time? It makes you wonder doesn't it? Quinn and Wade say goodbye to their parents doubles before opening the wormhole. The other Arturo shows up in a cab. The others slide while the two Arturos fight it out. One of them slides away with Quinn while the other one, the one who might be the real Arturo stays behind. Is it him or did the real Arturo slide? It's a hard call to make and one that is never really answered. One that to this day I want to know the answer. Seeing how the Arturo who went with them goes out, I think he was the real one, but how cool would it be to finally have it answered? Now for my favorite part of this episode. Quinn, Wade and Arturo show up in the therapists office and they get Remy as they slide out, right from inside the office. The doctor watches it all, his mind snaps. The episode ends with the doctor in the strait jacket being carted away, the same fate he wanted for Remy. It's poetic justice at it's finest. Welcome to another episode of the one and only Slider, written by the creator himself Tracy Torme. The show opens as the Sliders land on a new world that looks normal but seems very empty. It seems no one is there. Remy brags that his knee pads have made Sliding painless but the others don't seem to care, or even want to try it.
As the sliders walk around we, not the sliders, see a sign that says Kromaggs rule. Welcome to sliders 2.0, we now have bad guys. Wade asks what Kromaggs are but none of the others have any idea. All Quinn knows is that something is messing with the timer. They start to follow the signal towards the disruption so they can fix whatever is wrong with the timer. Wade and Remy want to leave, run the other way and get far far away from the weird sound but Quinn points out that if they don't figure it out they will never know when to slide. It doesn't matter much because our heroes spot what looks to be a spaceship and before they can run it spots them. Quinn fires off the timer and it makes the ship crash. It was working on the same frequency as the timer and allowed him to sort out their circuits. The sliders go and investigate the fallen spaceship because lets be honest, wouldn't we all? It's a fallen ship from what looks to be outer space. That is beyond cool. Wade and Remy want to run but Arturo and Quinn have already started to investigate. A weird man shows up and tells them that the Kromaggs aren't from outer space and they don't eat eyes. He tells them that they came to this Earth to take over and kill everyone but they are from right here. Could it be another dimension? That would be a fun twist would it not? Quinn and Arturo head inside the ship, leaving Wade and Remy outside to keep watch. We learn that the ship is more or less alive itself. It grows it's own air, the same air they breath. Quinn still thinks they are aliens. Remy and Wade walk around the theme park, not really keeping look out is it? Remy starts bitching to Wade about how he shouldn't be here, he should still be back on Earth Prime. Wade says that there is no point in crying about, even if he is the crying man. But what she wants to know is why she can't go inside the ship with Quinn and Arturo. That's what she is mad about. Inside the ship Quinn and Arturo find a dead Kromagg and set off an alarm by mistake. They run off, find the others and all four take off as more Kromaggs show up. The chase is on! They have 23 seconds till the slide and manage to lose the Kromaggs chasing after them. Before they can open the vortex the Kromaggs turn on the lights to make it easier to find them. Arturo says that the Kromaggs look humanish. He is more right than he knows. Arturo and Remy jump into the vortex when Wade and Quinn spot another vortex open up and a ship fly out of it. They now know that the Kromaggs are sliders like them. They jump throw the vortex and escape into the new world where Arturo knocks out a man holding bread. It seems they are on a world owned by the French. Arturo tells the others that the Kromaggs could be a different version of intelligent life on their Earth. Wade wants to warn every Earth about the Kromaggs and Arturo agrees but doesn't know how they should go about it. No one will believe them. The Kromaggs watch footage of Quinn and Arturo walking through the ship. They now know what the Sliders look like. At the restaurant the Sliders didn't have any money and Arturo had to give them his watch. Arturo took something from the ship to use as proof that the Kromaggs were real. It starts blinking and a vortex opens as a ship comes out. It knocks out the sliders as Quinn tries to use the timer on them. They take the device Arturo stole and timer from our heroes before locking them up. The Sliders wake up stuck to a wall. They are prisoners of the Kromaggs who are using some woman to talk to them. The Kromaggs are psychic. Remy tries to talk them into letting them leave but it is of no use. We learn that the Kromaggs have mastered sliding. They can control it at will. They came for the Sliders since they murdered one of them. The sliders tell them they were defending themselves but the Kromaggs call them liars. The girl tells them that the Kromaggs are mankind's savors not their enemies. The sliders lose track of time as they are questioned one by one. They keep them apart and mess with their sleep so that they can't focus. It is Remy's turn for questioning, leaving Quinn alone. Arturo and Wade never came back. Could they be hurt? Could they be dead? What does it all mean? Remy walks down the hall like the voices told him to and ends up in a room with his father. He tells Remy that Earth Prime is owned by the Kromaggs and that is better now. They made everything good, everything better. Remy doesn't seem to trust him. He tells Remy that he is heading back to the Kromaggs home world. That makes them lucky. He tells Remy that they need to work with the Kromaggs. Let them cross check Earth Prime with their records to make sure that it isn't a threat. They don't believe that Quinn invented the timer but Remy tells him it is true. Remy figures out it is all a trap when his father talks about a sister that Remy never had. Arturo comes back to the cell where Remy is. A mystery man tells them that there are thousands of human prisoners. Some as slaves and some as food. After all Kromaggs eat human eyes. Arturo tells Remy that no matter what happens they keep their secrets to themselves. Just then Remy walks into the room. Arturo was talking to a mental image of Remy that they put into his head. The Kromaggs offer Wade a chance to go home, they just need to know where their Earth is. Wade tells them that they are lost. That is more information than she should have told them. The Kromaggs ask if she is the first wave of an army and she tells them that her home world knows nothing about the Kromaggs, they don't believe her and she tells them that she doesn't trust them. They tell her that unless she tells them what they want to know they will kill Quinn so she just talks and tells them about different worlds they have been through. Wade ends up back with Arturo and Remy. Quinn is not there. Arturo tells them that they have to keep their secrets even if it means death. He also says that Quinn is most likely already dead. The girl who speaks for the Kromaggs has taken Quinn to what she says is a sanctuary. She tells them that the Kromaggs are after all the other Earths because they are all run by humans and they can't have that. They want to be the dominate species. She tells Quinn that he is to die but she likes him, she likes the way he stood up to the Kromaggs. She wants him to live. He asks her to bring the timer and his friends but she tells him that his friends are to die the next day and he will be taken to the home world and questioned until he tells them everything. She tells him that she is powerless but he keeps trying to talk her into helping. She tells him she can't and runs off, but not before handing him something. Back in the cell the others are waiting as Quinn walks in. They are all back together. The object she gave Quinn is a key. He uses it to get them out of the cell. Arturo is scared it is a trap but Quinn says that it is the only option they have. Wade offers to help the mystery man in the next cell but the Kromaggs already ate his eyes and he doesn't want to leave. The bitter man calls for the guards, figuring if he can't leave than they can't either. The Sliders run as the Kromaggs give chase. Quinn messes up their sliding equipment to try and slow them down. Giving them a head start if they can just find the timer. The girl gives them back their timer and opens a portal to take them back to the world where they were kidnapped. She is shot and dying so the Sliders leave her there and go back to French world. She gave her life saving the sliders. Now that is a hero! Quinn stays with her till her last breath than jumps through the vortex. The girl is still alive, it turns out that they put a tracking device in one of the sliders. She sold them out. She is not a good person, not a hero! She fooled us all! The Kromaggs are here to stay and humans are helping them! Welcome to the next episode of Sliders written by Steve Brown and Jon Povill. The episode starts off in what looks to be an old England type setting where Wade is in love with a man, their families don't want them to be together. Real Romeo and Juliet. Too good to be true, it isn't long before her alarm goes off and it turns out she is reading. . . you guessed it Romeo and Juliet.
The slayers walk out to find an empty place to slide out, Wade is distracted and Arturo is complaining. Things are normal for the sliders. Once on the new world Wade spots the man from her dream on a motorcycle waiting for her, he even knows her name. What the hell is going on? He tells her that he was her lover in a past life and will meet them at the hotel. He even knows what hotel they stay at. A mystery man hires someone to hit Wade but Remy pushes her out of the way. What could be the reason behind it. The doctor can tell what is wrong with his foot without even taking off his shoe and sock. She doesn't even know what a X-Ray is. She is a 5th degree psychic. Another world where people have powers. It seems that this world has trained psychics to do medicine and arrest people before they break the law. Remy and Arturo are arrested for killing Wade. What the hell? It turns out the Prime Oracle is the one who hired Wade killed and also blamed Remy and Arturo. They are both let go from jail and told that they are being watched. If Wade dies they will be arrested. What the hell kind of system is this? It turns out that the man in Wade's dream is up for the job of Prime Oracle. He is picked for the job and goes out on a date with Wade. Over conversation he learns that Wade didn't have the whole dream and that the Prime Oracle just died. He is the new Prime Oracle. Quinn and Arturo talk about Wade and what they think she will do. Now aren't Wade and Quinn dating? Or at least kind of dating? If I was Quinn I would be very unhappy about Wade being out on that date. Wade shows up at the bar while the guys are still talking. She tells them that the guy, who just got promoted to Prime Oracle, has asked Wade to marry him. Things have gotten intense fast. How could she say no to one of the most powerful people on this world? That might not go well. Wade goes back into the dream and learns that his father has found out about their relationship and Richard, his name in the past, has asked her to meet him at the bridge. However she doesn't make it there because he calls and wakes her up. Remy is not happy when he hears that she in engaged. Quinn demands that she tell him no but Wade says she wants to talk to him in person. She says she will still say no but wants to do it face to face. It is clear that Quinn is Jealous. Can you blame him? Wade learns that the old Prime Oracle told him that she would help him to become great. She is having a hard time accepting it. Quinn keeps trying to talk her out of marrying this guy but he keeps pushing her towards him. Remy tries to tell Quinn that he needs to back off and let Wade decide for herself. He will miss her too but it isn't for them to decide what she should do. The Prime Oracle, new one not old, made a room for Wade set up like her childhood room. At first she loves it but when she figures out that he found it by going into her mind she gets mad. Calls it akin to rape and wants to go back to the hotel. He won't let her go. He says if she leaves he will never see her again. She agrees to stay for one night and they can talk in the morning. The romance of it all is gone. The Sliders wait outside the Prime Oracle's house for Wade. it takes her awhile but they finally spot her heading towards them. They toss her a rope and she climbs down to them. As she is still climbing down police show up, surrounding them with the Prime Oracle. He tells her to say goodbye to her friends because she will never see them again. This shit has gotten dark! She finally finished the dream. It turns out his father had Wade's past life killed and he swore to get more power and stop him. That leads us to who he is today. She tells him that if he doesn't let her go she will never forgive him. He tells her that he can't see the future with her. She is his blind spot and his whole life depends on what happens with her. They have 6 hours till the slide and no way to get Wade out. At least until their new friend remembers that her collage roommate is the President's speech writer. Arturo makes Quinn stay behind in case Wade calls while the rest of them go off to save Wade. No one will help Wade because whatever the Prime Oracle says goes. That is the law of the land. Wade gets a bottle of pills with what looks to be a note inside. She takes the pills and calls Quinn telling him that the Prime Oracle won't let her go. She takes a lot of pills and OD's herself while on the phone with Quinn. He rushes to over, trying to get the security to help her. Quinn carries her out while the Prime Oracle feels bad for himself. The Prime Oracle says he doesn't want the job anymore. He isn't worthy. The ambulance pulls up near the park where the others are waiting for them. It turns out the others planned this. Wade is really alive and they kept Quinn in the dark so that the Prime Oracle couldn't find out. As they bring Wade back the Prime Oracle senses that she is alive and comes after her. It's all down to the wire, like it always is. That's what makes Sliders so great! It keeps you on the edge of your seats. The Prime Oracle lets Wade go and tells her sorry. We learn that the old Prime Oracle set all this up to save the both of them. It is a happy ending. Got to love this show, I know I do! Welcome to another episode of Sliders, as always out of order! Damn you Fox. This episode was written by Tracy Torme. The episode starts up as a storm is going on and our heroes are trying to make their way out of the woods. Fighting against the rain and the wind. The professor opens the vortex and one by one they jump in. Quinn going last, just as a bolt of lightening strikes it. The others come out on the other side with no Quinn. It's a bit weird that it takes them so long to notice Quinn isn't with them.
Quinn shows up and tries to call out to them, none of them seem to hear him. Wade even walks right through him. Something is wrong, something is very wrong. Wade throws out the theory that Quinn is stuck in the last world while Artuo believes Quinn is just somewhere else in town. Wade asks how long they have to find Quinn and it is then that they discover that timer is fried. Arturo correctly figures out that a bolt of lightening must have hit the vortex. They have to fix the timer before they have to leave, made all the harder by them not knowing when they have to leave. To make matters worse they are on a word that seems to be stuck back in the fifties. They ask the a police for some help and he tries to arrest Arturo for a watch. Turns out technology is illegal on this world. Quinn uses the fact that the horse can see him to scare it, the horse runs off and the cop chases off after him. The sliders use this chance to run off. The Sliders make it to the hotel. Arturo can't help but laugh, they have to fix the timer in a world where technology is outlawed. Making everything harder. There is no word from Quinn at the hotel, which we already knew but weighs hard on the others. Remy starts to think like Wade, that Quinn might be stuck on the last world. At the church some lady sees Quinn but tries to pretend like she can't. She starts snapping at him to go away, turns out this lady use to hear voices, everyone else thinks she is crazy. Quinn talks her into helping them. The lady pushes through a crowd trying to get autographs from people. The note tells them what happened and they all run after the lady. They all see her talking to herself because none of them can see Quinn. She gives them a story to prove she is talking to them but before they can go any farther her mother, who looks like a horrible person pulls the daughter away. Wade believes the lady but Arturo doesn't. Remy takes the timer and goes to talk to the priest with it. He tells Remy of a man who plays around with technology. It turns out that after World War 2 people have decided that technology wouldn't only lead to the end of times and people decided to stop advancing. Remy and the others go to find the man. The man is a double of Quinn's father. Turns out that Quinn's double is dead. Quinn's father's Double named Micheal, agrees to let them use his equipment to fix the timer. Arturo uses tech from his watch to replace parts of the timer. Remy makes fun of Wade for kissing Quinn. Wade tries to play it off. Arturo is not anywhere near as good as Quinn. He makes a simple mistake but can't figure it out. Quinn goes to find the girl again and now she is talking to herself at her job and people are making fun of her. Poor girl. Quinn helps her prove that a rude girl who was making fun of her stole all the money so she agrees to help Quinn. Arturo starts to get worked up and wants to storm out of the house but before he gets up the stairs but the anti tech police show up. Micheal tries to get them off with a warning and they arrest him instead, leaving the sliders down below. They took the timer with them. Quinn and the girl follow him to a factory and Quinn leaves her outside with the cab while he goes to look inside. Turns out these anti-tech police steal other peoples tech and studies it so that when technology is made legal again they will become rich. Micheal is working with them to get trust and steal it. These people are planning to get what information they need from the sliders and then kill them. Quinn and the girl show up at the hotel room. He uses her to talk to the sliders. He tells them all about how Micheal wants to milk them for information and then kill them. Arturo and Remy set off an alarm to get everyone out of the factory while they sneak in. The room they need to get into is locked. Arturo smashes his way into the room. Arturo gets what he needs but they spot them leaving. Arturo and Remy show up at the hotel where the others are waiting for them. He tells them that they have to go back to Micheal's house in order to fix it. The girls mother shows up and demands that she gets back into the car. Arturo tries to stand up for her but the mother won't hear. The girl tells the mother she won't go. She wants to help them. The mother caves. The sliders break into Micheal's house and Quinn uses the girl to tell Arturo how to fix the timer. The mother gives them a hairpin and it lets Arturo fix it. With 17 seconds left they Micheal shows up and demands the timer. Arturo activates the vortex. He offers him a chance to come with them. Micheal wants to shoot Arturo but Quinn, who can now be seen in the vortex asks him to put the gun down. Micheal does it. The sliders want to go through the vortex but it isn't active on the astral plan. He is going to be stuck there. The others go on without him for they have no other choice. Arturo promises to come back for him, Remy tells him he loves him and Wade, well it is a heartbreaking goodbye, she doesn't want to go but Quinn talks her into it. She has to go or be stuck here. It breaks her heart but she does it. I believe this is the first time they state how long the vortex stays open, 60 seconds. Quinn is stuck there, he feels defeated but the vortex passes through the astral plane, he tells her to give his love to his father's double and jumps into the vortex. He arrives on the next world a few minutes after the others. It is a cheerful reunion on a nudest world. Got to love Sliders. QTracy TorméTracy TorméTracy Tormé |
