Every once in a while life decides to test you. It gives you almost too much to handle and then when you think you can’t take anymore it give you a little more to deal with just to see what you do when you get past the point of the breaking. I don’t know if this is just my experience or what but whenever you seem to be at the end of your ropes life gives everyone around you breaks just to rub it in your face. Sometimes the truth of the matter is that life is a bitch. But the secret to life is to just survive. If you can hold out past all the shit that is thrown at you then you can come back stronger then ever. Life can be hard what with finals coming up new bosses who go out of their way to chase you off and ex girlfriends who try and make your life hell as well as money problems at home. But you just have to hold your head up high and bury yourself in your work and not let people or events in your life defeat you. Life can be a challenge but as long as you keep trying it will get better cause life is hope. It’s the human condition to do anything you can to survive and keep going even if you don’t see the point or have anyway out and you just keep digging a deeper and deeper grave for yourself. But when you hit the bottom you just got to dust yourself off and climb back out of the hole and continue to live your life for you and not conform to what others want. I’m at a point where I don’t know what I’m doing or where I’m going in my life. I know what I want to do but how I get there and who I have around me that I can trust gets to be a harder and harder question. I’m one of the nicest people you will ever meet and everyone seems to take advantage of me for that fact. That leads me to writing a short film entitled superman complex. It’s the story of just that. A guy who is too nice and how people use him. At 23 I’m just starting to learn that you can’t be everyone’s friend and sometimes you do have to look out for yourself. It’s a hard lesson to learn but hopefully this time it sticks. I’ve made some choices and am in the process of making a few more that will continue to change the lay out of my life but it’s hard letting go of what you are use to. But sometimes you just have to say fuck it and go for it! That’s the secret to life.
