What's up Blueroof Nation!! I know I've had a crazy few years and I want to thank you guys for sticking with me over the years. The podcasts and YouTube channel have always been the bread and butter of this company and I'm not blind to that. I just want to tell Let you guys know that I'm working on getting a video out a week as well as an episode of Wolfcast, Blueroofcasting, Clean Jeans and Paranormal Investigations out a week. There is also a new pod in the works that I'm producing but not a main talent on. More news to come on that in the weeks that follow. Stay Tuned!
So after 8 long months I finally wrote, filmed and edited a new episode of Blueroof Productions. I liked it and it was funny, but the graphics weren't the best. I enjoyed it so I said what the hell and posted it anyways. Then I watched the last episode and to my horror realized that I had wrote the new one as the sequel to episode 9 and ignored and changed what happened in 10 so I had to delete it. I will redo it as soon as I can but I didn't want this one to go to waste so I posted it here. This has truly been the best weekend I've had in a long time. I feel unbelievably blessed right now. It all started on Friday when I went to a film maker mixer and met some great connections, one of which is a big shot actor out of Hollywood who is making a low budget film out here in Texas. We seemed to have really hit it off and he said he wanted to work with me and my friend, so hopefully that works out! It was a great night spent hanging out with people who live and love film like I do. It is such a nice change of pace for me.
I thought that Friday would be the high light of the weekend, but then came Saturday. One of my best friends got us tickets to the Linkin Park/ 30 seconds to mars concert. We had to sit on the grass because the concert was sold out and those were the only seats left. I didn't mind, it was a free concert after all. We make it to the concert, get a nice spot of grass and get ready to enjoy the show. That is when the rain starts, they tell us we can move forward and stand in the walkways between the seats. We made it pretty far towards the stage when the crew working there changed their mind and kicked us back out to the grass into the rain. We found some empty seats and took them. It was a nice break, but it was still in the rain. I had the book A feast for crows in my pocket. haha don't ask. So I didn't want it to get wet and left my friends to try and move forward. I got to the VIP section and was watching from there for a while. No one said anything so I figured I would go and get my friends and bring them back with me. That's when it happened. Something I had wanted to happen for a long time but had given up hope. A voice called out my name and I turned to look. Standing there was the girl who got a way. We had an extremely complicated relationship and it ended for reasons that, well it needed to end. It was only right. It wasn't the most graceful end and I hated that it went so south. A few months later we ran into each other and made peace and even promised to keep in touch. Oh and she was pregnant. We never did keep in touch and not a day went by that my mind didn't wonder towards her. I ended up dating a girl at my job, the worst mistake of my life, she turned crazy. But she was just a rebound for the girl now standing in front of me. This girl changed my life. She taught me a new way to look at the world, a new way to look at myself and even more so, a new way to relate to people. She was my guru and I couldn't have asked for a better one. We ended up hanging out at the concert for the next hour or so till my friends lost their seats and I had to take my leave but it was an amazing gift to be able to see her one last time. She had a boy, cute little kid. What are the odds that I would run into a lost love at a sold out concert? It only happened because of the rain, and because I'm the only person alive who would bring a book to a concert. Who does that? But I'm thankful it did. Now that brings us to today. I got a tweet from Declan asking for help on a Tell 'em Steve Dave project. I sent him an email and now I'm working on a project for the podcast. It's by far the best podcast out there, right next to Smodcast. This is an amazing weekend and it's days like these that make me so glad to be alive. Thank you God! and I hope everyone else out there is doing just as good! |
